Historic Sites of the Jeju April 3rd
Symbolic Grave of Lim Moon-sook Family
Site Overview
This is the Lim Moon-sook family graveyard. Mr. Lim and his family were hiding inside Keunneolgwe, when Donggwang-ri was burnt down by the army in November 1948. They were caught near Bolleh Oreum and killed near Jeongbang Falls. The remaining families were not able to find their bodies, so they had a ritual to call their souls and made empty graves. In total, there were 9 victims.
